My New Year’s resolution for 2025 was to see 100 movies at the theater. As of December 12, I’ve seen 150. That’s quite an accomplishment, don’t you think?

If you’re wondering why the title mentions 35 and 70, here’s why:

The “35” means the years C’s has been in business, and the “70” means our shacho’s age. He started this company when he was 35. (I think.) And on December 12, we’re celebrating our 35th anniversary.

I think someone else will write a blog post about the party, so I won’t bother.

Instead, I’ll tell you what my 35th and 70th films were this year. I don’t mean the 35th and 70th best. That would be impossible.

So here they are:
#35: 春をかさねて
#70: What’s Eating Gilbert Grape

And in case you’re wondering what #1 and #150 were, here they are.
#1: Billy Elliot
#150: The Penguin Lessons

I plan on going to see a few more movies by the end of the year. Yeah!
